Life is only worth living if it’s exciting and you can grow as a person. To do this challenges need to be overcome. The more challenges you defeat the more confident you will be.

Challenges are essential in keeping your confidence at a healthy level. The moment life becomes too easy, your skills will stop developing and your self-esteem will eventually dwindle.

Finding the Right Types of Challenges

First, start immediately. Sitting around doesn’t do any good. This only lets the problem build and become unmanageable. The sooner you get to the other side of this problem the sooner you can forget about it and move on.

* Get a new job. Sitting at a dead end job will not help your self-esteem. Get paid the wage you deserve.

*Look at yourself in the mirror and figure out what can be improved. No matter how healthy you are you can always stand to be healthier.

* Start a new hobby. Anything you choose, like: join a local rec sports team, start playing an instrument, or volunteer for a charitable cause.

These are the types of challenges that will take a considerable amount of time to overcome, and that’s perfectly fine. You don’t need instantaneous results. The important thing is to get up and get started, and you will soon find yourself brimming with new found confidence.

Make Goals To Achieve

Start off with one large long term goal and divide into smaller more manageable pieces. If you want to lose 20 lbs in 4 months, start with smaller goals of 5 lbs a month.

Make sure to give yourself enough time to accomplish your goals. Failing to reach them in an impossible time frame will only decrease your self-esteem not build it. However, if you are ahead of schedule tighten up the time frame and give yourself less time.

Keep Track of Your Achievements

Knowing that you have accomplished so much in a certain amount of time is a great way to boost your confidence and renew your faith in yourself. This will enable you to achieve so much more in the future until you have finally completed your objective.

* At the end of each day, note down all you have achieved within the past 24 hours.

* Create a reading list and check all the books you’ve read so far.

* Place a notepad by the weighing scale to record your weight loss progress.

The small victories that you achieve on a daily basis will compound the confidence you feel in yourself. The momentum will speed up and you are likely to achieve your goals earlier than you originally set.

Get Support from Other People

Have friends that support you in your endeavor. If you have a friend that will work with you to accomplish the same goal, that’s even better.

If you continue this practice of overcoming challenges then your self-confidence will always be at a high, and you will have more rewarding life for it.
