Traffic.
Isn’t that one of the biggest issues facing internet marketers today? If you have a lot of it, you feel like you’re on top of the world. If you get none of it, you feel like a complete failure.
Well, apparently StumbleUpon is making a valiant effort to solve the traffic issue for all of us.
If you haven’t heard of StumbleUpon, they are one of many social networking websites. How they differentiate themselves, though, is by offering users the ability to just browse or “stumble†through a infinite list of sites recommended by other users. It’s quite awesome, actually!
So what’s the new traffic building service that StumbleUpon is developing?
Well, to begin with, it’s called “SU.PR†which is pronounced “super†and is also the domain name of the new service.
This is what SU.PR is doing to change the social networking and traffic generation game. By using this new service, users will be able to:
* Submit their links to StumbleUpon’s 7.9 million users with each post
* Have their best links showcased in a sidebar for each page that’s linked to
* Get ideas for optimal posting times: get more traffic per post
* Schedule as many posts or tweets as they want, for any time
* See their click-through statistics in real-time
* See retweets for each post, including the biggest influencers (including rankings)
* Post to Facebook and Twitter at the same time, with more platforms coming in the future…
* Use their own shortened URL (i.e. www.myURL.com/abc123) instead of using a URL shortening service
Doesn’t that sound sweet? It’s almost like they’re combining many of the popular internet marketing products all into one easy-to-use interface.
I personally think this will save a lot of time that I would normally spend on doing the following:
1.Writing an article / post on my blog or website
2.Creating a shortened URL using bit.ly
3.Manually submitting it to social networking sites, including StumbleUpon, Twitter, FaceBook, etc.
4.Manually verifying statistics on each site to see if I’m getting any retweets or if my article is being discussed further
5.Checking bit.ly to see how many click-throughs I got
Plus I didn’t even touch on the “scheduling†advantages of SU.PR. You know how many internet marketers queue up a list of auto-sent emails once you get on their mailing lists. So when you receive one you think “Awwww…they really care, I like how they’re regularly sending me such useful informationâ€Â. When in fact everything you’ve received is fully automated. How great would it be if all your social networking messages were automated like that?
