No-Cost Affiliate Marketing Tactics

Although there are several marketing methods available, one of the most popular is affiliate marketing or referral marketing. In a nutshell, the affiliate marketer agrees to promote a product or service on behalf of the provider in exchange for a commission for each sale generated. Most affiliate marketers stick to using email only to promote their products, or place a link or image on their homepage, hoping for someone to click on it.

Affiliate marketing is a very competitive and in order to be successful in this field, as an affiliate marketer you should utilize every marketing channel possible, just like the Super Affiliates do. It is a proven fact that you message must be seen several times before your prospect will even click to find out more about it. If you limit yourself to just a couple of marketing avenues, then you will be missing out on potential profits.

One very effective but little-used tactic is to simply write an informative article related to the subject of your affiliate product. It won’t be another sales pitch, and there are several ways that it can be used effectively. First, you can include it on your newsletter. Of course you should also post it on your blog. You might also consider adding to it a bit more and offering it as a free report. In each instance, you’re getting helpful information in front of potential prospects—with your affiliate link.

Another affiliate marketing tactic highly recommended and practiced by professional affiliate marketers is to include a reference to your affiliate product on your Thank You pages. It could be in the form of an additional product recommendation or as a resource related to a product purchase. You could also offer a download of the free report (if you’ve written one) related to your affiliate product.

And don’t overlook ads for your affiliate product. Do you have a newsletter? Include an ad for your affiliate product as a Sponsor ad in it. The same goes for your free report or E-course; include a brief Sponsor ad for your affiliate product in them. You could even swap ads with another newsletter publisher.
Do you have an autoresponder list? Place a short ad for your affiliate product as part of or below your signature so that it rides along with every message you send out.

These are just a few of the many ways, with no cash outlay, that you can get a leg up on your competition. The only thing it will cost is a little time and creativity. By implementing some or all of these suggestions, you’ll improve your sales potential because your message or ad will be where the traffic flows.
